How to become a motorcycle instructor
We offer the ideal opportunities to become a motorcycle instructor with two high-quality motorcycle instructor training courses.
Our two motorcycle instructor training courses include:
ELCAS Approved Motorcycle Instructor Training including a Level 3 Award in Education and Training
ERS Motorcycle instructor course (Also ELCAS approved) Level 3 course
Essentially, this course allows you to learn the instructional techniques for delivering Compulsory Basic Training Courses (CBT).
The course prepares you for the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency’s (DVSA) instructor assessment and includes everything you need to pass the test on your first try.
With this CBT instructor training course, you can expect to learn instructional techniques for delivering CBT, as specified by the DVSA. You will even be able to practice delivering the CBT to real students under instruction from your qualified tutor.
CBT instructor training courses include all training materials and aids that will help you develop into a quality instructor.
We start the course initially by teaching you to be a trainer with our award winning hybrid Award in Education and Training (AET) Level 3 course, delivered with a mixture of remote classroom sessions and self study, followed by a microteach. Once this is complete we then go on and teach you the motorcycle aspect of instruction

The cost is £1600

Contact usThe Enhanced Rider Scheme is designed by The Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA). It lets motorcyclists have their riding skills checked by a DVSA-approved trainer to help them become safer riders and get more from their motorcycling.
The ERS Motorcycle Instructor Course provides the training to become an Enhanced Rider Scheme (ERS) Instructor who is recognised by the DVSA. It requires a special test to ensure your motorcycle riding skills are of the highest standard.
The course covers 5 days and includes everything you need to pass your test on the first try and develop into a quality post-test instructor. This motorcycle instructor course is approved by the DVSA and will enable you to join the RPMT (Register of Post-Test Motorcycle Trainers).
There are 7 core modules to the ERS motorcycle instructor course, where we focus on your ability to train students in a structured approach to riding – understand defensive riding and hazard awareness, progress and use of speed, overtaking and filtering, bends and corners, slow control, and developing the correct rider attitude. The majority of the course material is based on Motorcycle Roadcraft. You will need to obtain a copy of this before the course starts.
