The Level 3 AET is the first step to becoming a motorcycle instructor with Phoenix Motorcycle Training. You’ll need to take further motorcycle instructor training after getting your Level 3 AET certificate to teach people how to ride a motorcycle.

Each module has a short assignment you need to complete before moving on to the next module. The third and final module finishes with a micro-teaching session. You’ll give this to the small group you have taken the course with. After completing each module and assignment successfully, you’ll get your Level 3 AET certificate.

You must be 19 years of age or older to take the AET course. Access to a computer with an internet connection is also necessary as part of the course is taken online. A webcam and mic are also required for connecting with your learning group. And, of course, you must be willing and able to invest the necessary time for learning.

The Level 3 Award with Phoenix costs £550. This includes all online resources and a copy of Ann Gavell’s book on teacher education.

The Level 3 Award with Phoenix typically takes six weeks to complete. Students learn in small groups for support with a mix of online and self-led learning. Each unit has a short assignment and the final module requires a micro-teaching session which you’ll be assessed on.
