Try Ride
Try ride days are perfect for finding out if motorcycling is for you.
Never ridden before? Do you want to see what it’s like before you book your CBT?
Our 1 hour Try Ride sessions are just what you need! A qualified instructor will brief you about the session and kit you out with a helmet and safety gear. Then you get to ride a 50cc (if you’re 16 years old) or 125cc motorbike or scooter (if you’re older) away from the road in a secure training area with help from your instructor. They’ll get you used to the gears and throttle and soon you’ll be grinning like you did when you learnt to ride a push bike.
After your session you can find out more about learning to ride a motorbike or scooter. We’ll explain how to do your CBT and how to go for a full motorcycle licence.
They can also offer advice on what bike to buy and what kit you need, or anything else you want to know. Then you’re well on the way to enjoying the freedom, fun and flexibility that life on two wheels brings.
Moving ahead to CBT training
If you decide motorcycling is for you, the next step is your CBT motorcycle training. When you choose us, we’ll give access to RideFree pre-training resources. These online resources are in additional to the basic CBT course training many other providers offer and prepares you well for your CBT certification. The five modues cover:
- The Highway Code
- Hazard Perception
- Motorcycle clothing and equipment
- The importance of maintenance
- How a rider’s behaviour impacts them and other road user
Working your way through these modules puts you ahead of other learner riders. When you complete these before the CBT training, you’ll get more time developing on-road skills with us. But most importantly, you’ll develop into a safer, more aware rider, faster.
