Unlock Your Rider Potential: PROskills Advanced Motorcycle Training Courses

Have you ever seen police motorcyclists in action and wondered how you can gain that level of motorcycle mastery? The skill, focus and dedication of police riders are second to none. If you’ve got your licence and have been riding for a while, it’s time to consider advanced motorcycle training courses.

Advanced motorcycle training courses unlock your full riding potential. Some may even reduce your insurance premiums. You’ll hone your skills with expert instruction and real-world scenarios; mastering twisting roads, full machine control and developing rider instincts that allow you to naturally avoid potential hazards. It’s the best way to elevate your riding experience, becoming a safer and more confident rider.

In this blog post, we’ll explore advanced motorcycle training, the benefits you’ll get, who it’s for, and why Phoenix ProSkills advanced motorcycle training courses are the top choice for riders seeking to master their craft.

What is advanced motorcycle training?

Advanced motorcycle training courses teach you how to ride in difficult situations with ease and confidence. They build on the skills you gained to get your full motorcycle licence. Because they’re designed for experienced riders, you’ll need to have your motorcycle licence and a year’s riding experience under your belt.

Your early motorcycle training focused on helping you develop essential rider skills and habits. Advanced motorcycle training courses kick those skills up a notch. You’ll improve your reaction times, master advanced rider techniques and substantially reduce your risk of accidents. These courses are all about developing a level of motorcycle mastery akin to police riders and other professional motorcyclists.

Why you should transform your riding experience with advanced rider training

Of course, you can improve your rider skill over time. Regular riding helps you develop the basic skills you mastered to get your motorcycle licence. But without tuition and coaching, bad habits can also creep in. How many people have you heard say they’d fail if they took their licence test again?

Advanced rider training steadily guides your rider development. It also helps you gain advanced skills faster. That’s because you’ll benefit from real-time feedback and tips that make sense for your individual rider style. So, why choose an advanced motorcycle training course?

  • Enhanced riding skills take time to develop and master. With guidance and coaching, you’ll do this faster. You’ll also avoid bad habits creeping into your rider style.
  • Improved reaction times are key to your safety on the road. Hazards can appear unexpectedly in a split-second. Faster reaction times keep you safer on the road and allow you to ride with more confidence too.
  • Your reduced risk of accidents is a MASSIVE benefit of advanced motorcycle training courses. In 2023, 16756 motorcyclists were involved in serious accidents on UK roads. This is a little less than the year before, but still incredibly high. Motorcyclists are vulnerable on the road and 45 times more likely to die in an accident than car drivers.
  • Potential insurance discounts are one of the financial benefits of safer, smoother riding you’ll learn in an advanced motorcycle training course. You’ll also save on fuel, maintenance costs, and time getting safely from A to B.

Who are advanced motorcycle training courses for?

You need to have a full UK motorcycle licence before you can book most advanced rider courses. Ambitious new riders should consider targeted advanced skills courses first. Our Using Motorways and Carrying Pillion Passengers training sessions are ideal for riders new to two wheels. Once you’ve got your full motorcycle licence in hand, the world of advanced motorcycle training courses is yours to explore.

Experienced riders who take advanced training benefit from personalised attention and real-time feedback on their riding. Daily commuters can gain confidence with filtering and riding in heavy traffic with advanced training. If you enjoy touring, advanced training that focuses on eco riding techniques will teach you how to save petrol on longer journeys.
