Technically, any experienced rider could supervise a learner on a provisional licence. They’d need to be at least 21, hold a full licence for that category of bike for three years, and ensure the learner displays L-plates. However, uncertified experienced riders cannot charge money, accept gifts, or receive any form of reward for supervising learner riders. It’s a criminal offence to accept payment for motorcycle training unless you are officially certified by the DVSA and working through an Approved Training Body (ATB).
