If anxiety is persistent, worsening, causing significant distress or affecting your wider life, contact your GP, a counsellor or another appropriately qualified healthcare professional. You can also ask your GP about NHS Talking Therapies or find out whether you can refer yourself locally.
If you need more immediate help:

- Someone to talk to: Call Samaritans free on 116 123, at any time of the day or night. You do not need to be suicidal to contact them. Contact Samaritans
