Riding anxiety on a larger bike usually stems from an overstimulated nervous system, not a lack of physical skill. To calm your mind on the road, consciously drop your shoulders, loosen your grip on the handlebars, and breathe rhythmically through bends. Breaking rides down into shorter, familiar routes and gently expanding on those routes allows your brain to build proof of your competence without cognitive overload.
Remind yourself that feeling hesitant is a normal part of adjusting to extra weight and power. It’s a sign you’re learning—not a sign that you aren’t ready.
